Ask the Youth Department-August

Q: What do you think is the most underused resource the in the youth library that deserves more exposure and users?

Pam-Hoopla digital media service lets you borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone, and even your TV, using your library card! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later where wifi is unavailable. Hoopla has hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily.

Stephanie- I love Tutor.com. I have used it with my kids several times. It is a wonderful resource because they’re very helpful, without just giving the answer. They work with your child to find the answer. Tutor.com is for grades 4-12 and each session can last up to 20 minutes. They are “open” every day from 1-10 pm! If your child is struggling with their math homework, give tutor.com a try.

Rachelle- I like to recommend TumbleBooks to families. The books are animated, talking picture books. So much fun!
